Brancaster PINS Inquiry

There are a number of issues for common rightholders at Brancaster and, as with Burnham Overy Staithe, ownership of the commons is a cause for concern.

There is very conclusive evidence that 621 acres of the common at Brancaster is vested in, and should be cared for, by Brancaster Parish Council. A large body evidence was prepared for the Planning Inspectorate Inquiry, that took place on 18th Feb. 2020, into the claim by the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club for ownership of part of the common. Unfortunately, the common rightholders were denied a voice at the Inquiry so none of this evidence got a hearing. The evidence is HERE
